Getting Started

This tool creates and edits both customerRequests.json and BookIntake.json for Tiny Haunted Bookshop.

Quick Setup: Click ⚙️ Setup and select your game directory. The tool auto-finds all data files.
Manual: Load individual JSON files via the Setup modal or header buttons.

⚠️ After Exporting

Run exportBooks.bat from \Documents\ExportBooks\ to apply changes. Check export_output.txt for errors.

Customer Requests

Period Requests (green): Time-based rules for day ranges with genre/qualifier settings.

Specific Requests (yellow): Quest triggers with unique IDs. Support:

Quest Chains: RequestIdSuccessful / RequestIdFailed for branching paths
Prerequisites: QuestIdSuccessful for quest-gated appearances
Delays: SkipRequestsBeforeComing for timed appearances
Dialogue: Phrase, PositiveResponsePhrase, NegativeResponsePhrase
Night Events: QuestOpen to trigger night-mode quests

Book Intake (BookIntake.json)

Controls which books the player can buy from customers.

RequestId 0: Books you start with
ReceivedBookIds: Specific book IDs the player receives
ChanceOfBooks: Random rolls processed end-to-first (e.g., [50,40,30] → 30% for 3 books, 40% for 2, 50% for 1)
Can use Period OR RequestId, combined with ReceivedBookIds and/or ChanceOfBooks
